We protect the environment and the quality of work.​

Galvan’s fundamental aim is to ensure service and quality that meet the most varied needs of each individual customer, in a careful and punctual manner, in compliance with the applicable standards (UNI EN ISO 1461, UNI EN ISO 14713, ASTM A123/1). All in compliance with eco-sustainability that affects all business processes.


Since 2006, Integrated Environmental Authorisation (IEA) has been obtained, a measure that aims to verify the environmental compatibility of a given activity and achieve high levels of prevention and reduction of plant pollution. Authorisation has been renewed since 2017.

Since 2011, ISO 14001:2004 environmental quality certification has been obtained and renewed every three years, which is recognised in all European countries; since 2018 it has been updated to ISO 14001:2015.

The company’s quality system has been certified by ICIM (Istituto di certificazione Industriale per la Meccanica/ Industrial Certification Institute for the Mechanical Industry) since 1994. The Quality System is certified in accordance with the ISO 9001:2000 standard, and then in 2018 it was updated to the ISO 9001:2015 standard, currently valid until January 2021.
ICIM, which is accredited by SINCERT (Accreditation of Certification Bodies) is a member of CISQ (Certificazione Italiana dei Sistemi Qualità delle Aziende /Italian Certification of Company Quality Systems) and it is recognised by the European Certification Bodies, through the EQ Net (European Network for the Evaluation and Certification of Quality Systems).

In 2016, Associazione Italiana Zincatura (the Italian Galvanizing Association) “HiQualiZinc” obtained the quality mark, granted to zinc factories that meet the high standards required by the Technical Regulations that can be consulted on the website. HiQualiZinc is based on the European and international standards UNI EN ISO 1461:2022 and UNI EN ISO 14713-1:2017 and UNI EN ISO 14713-2:2020. It also uses the “Manual of Good Practices of Hot-dip Galvanizing” published by AIZ, as a reference, so that the designers and the customers of steel products can obtain certified characteristics of the protective system and corresponding durability, supporting the work of technicians and manufacturers in regard to CE marking.


Galvan, which has always been careful regarding health and safety at work, has obtained UNI ISO 45001 certification regarding “Management systems for health and safety at work”.

ISO 45001 certification is an international standard that defines the requirements for a health and safety at work management system within an organisation.

The goal of the standard is the implementation of an organisational system that:

  • Help organisations prevent or, if not possible, reduce the risk of occupational injuries and worker sickness levels;
  • Provide a framework for the continuous improvement of occupational health and performance related to safety;
  • Integrate the occupational health and safety management system into the organisation’s processes.

The desire to improve its performance and the increasingly pressing requests from authorities, customers and the public have caused Galvan s.r.l. to develop an Integrated Quality, Environment, Health and Safety Management System.

This system requires the operators working at the plant and in any case on behalf of Galvan s.r.l. to follow the system’s requirements, in accordance with the rules defined in the following documents.
